TOPIC: following directions, revising vocabulary while giving directions
Prepare a map (it can be fictional or real) and give a copy of that map to each of your students.
Decide on what the starting point should be and then give directions from this point. DO NOT TELL your students where you are directing them to, they should run their fingers along the map according to your directions. When you are finished, ask students, where they ended up.
It is useful to remember or write down the directions you are giving your students so if students get lost, you can then retrace their steps and find out what the problem was.
