LEVEL: A2-C1
GRADE: any
LENGTH: 15 minutes
TOPIC: writing with a hidden message
HOW TO:
First, let students guess what an ACROSTIC is.
After their guesses go over the definition with them. For example: An acrostic is when the first letter in every line of a text spells out a specific word. Of course, an acrostic could also be constructed where the last letter of each line of a text spells out the word, but this is harder to create.
Show them some examples, these are great.
Then let your students create their own piece of work, it can be a short story, a letter, a newspaper article, or a poem.
